The beauty of designing the underlying structure

When a nice design, brings up a couple of thought about how I like to do things

Amandine sent me references to this wired carpet by Britta Boehne; i don’t usually really like carpet, but this one caught my attention…

I like Miltos Manetas painting a lot. Those especially, with the every day wiring that cover the floor of his flat - people usually hide the cables and wire.

The same way as with design: I like when the structure and the process are shown around, subtely or not - same goes with wires and cables: I like them being displayed.

Amandine did this biro drawing a little while ago; it now sits in the first third of our kitchen, on top of a ‘real’ cables and plugs hub.
